Asus is pushed out a new firmware update to its ZenPad 10 phone. The update installs Google security patch and brings many new features to the ZenPad 10.

Arriving as software build version V5.3.6, the update removes a number of apps shortcut which had become redundant such as ‘Audio Wizard’, ‘Splendid’, ‘System update’ and ‘Flashlight’. In addition to this, the option ‘Tap and hold to show menu’ has been removed from Touch Key settings and instead a new option has been included in Touch Key Setting which is ‘Tap and hold to activate Multi-window’.

The update also brings support for multiple pages in Quick Settings and adds “Game Genie” which is ZenFone’s gaming ally. The lock screen wallpaper slideshow as well as bundled notifications switch are also added by the new update. The latter works by bundling together all multiple notifications for a single app into a one group. This group then can be expanded to see the individual messages.

Other than the above cool features, the update also brings updated emojis (Unicode 9.0) and skin tone selection feature to ZEN UI Keyboard. All in all, the host of new features brought by the new update should enhance the UX of Asus ZenPad 10 users.
