ATT released new software update to Android phone users of Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and S7 Active on its mobile network.

AT&T released new software update to Android phone users of Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and S7 Active on its mobile network. The new update installs the latest monthly security patch with regular bug fixes and performance improvement of Android system.

The new software update is updating AT&T Galaxy S7 Active units as build number G891AUCS2BQE1. On the other hand, the AT&T Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices are receiving the update as build numbers G930AUCS4BQE1 and G935AUCS4BQE1 respectively.
  
Size of the update is around 40MB. The update, which is Android Nougat 7 based, also delivers a better user experience by enhancing system stability.


It may take some time to popup notification of latest update appear on your device. Whereas the update is released in phases will take some time to reach your region. If you have not received the update yet then you can check for update manually using below steps:

  1. Open the Settings menu for your Android.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the menu and tap About device.
  3. Tap System updates.
  4. Tap Check for update.
  5. Tap OK if asked to confirm.
  6. Wait while your device checks for updates.
  7. Tap Download or Yes if an update is available.
Before installing the software update make sure to sufficiently charge the phone at least 60% and stay connected to Wi-fi connection otherwise you will have to download pay for data package.
