As we reported earlier Galaxy S6 and Note5 get Nougat in Europe, now time has come. International Samsung Galaxy Note5 devices are progressing to receive official Android 7.0 Nougat update.

The update weighs in at around 1.3GB in size, and  installs Android Nougat version 7.0. An important point worth mentioning here is that users should update their Samsung Pay app to the latest version (2.7.15) before installing the update. The change-log says it'll ensure "compatibility and better performance."

Aside from the new OS, the update also includes some other minor changes. As is usually the case with OTA roll outs, it might take some time for the update to hit your device.

It may take some time to popup notification of latest update appear on your device. Whereas the update is released in phases will take some time to reach your region. If you have not received the update yet then you can check for update manually using below steps:

  1. Open the Settings menu for your Android.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the menu and tap About device.
  3. Tap System updates.
  4. Tap Check for update.
  5. Tap OK if asked to confirm.
  6. Wait while your device checks for updates.
  7. Tap Download or Yes if an update is available.
Before installing the software update make sure to sufficiently charge the phone at least 60% and stay connected to Wi-fi connection otherwise you will have to download pay for data package.
