Samsung Galaxy J5 (2015) will get Android 7.0 Nougat update in November 2017
Samsung has now included the Galaxy J5 2015
in that list, Samsung’s Nougat roadmap for Turkey, even giving us a date for its Android 7.0 release, slated for November 3, 2017.
Although the update has been pushed towards the end of this year, J5 owners will be thrilled to find out that their device is under consideration for the Nougat update, which could easily be their final major Android OS update. This wasn’t the case with OEMs a few years back, where only a few select mid-range Android devices received a second Android OS update in their lifetime.
Coming back to Nougat, does the Galaxy J5 2015
have the right hardware to run the OS smoothly? We believe it does, as 1.5GB of RAM and the quad-core Snapdragon 410 seem to provide just about apt amount of firepower required to run Android 7.0 OS.
Something that won’t be making its way to the budget Galaxy J5 is the Always On Display feature. We expected it come because the AMOLED screen on the Galaxy J5 is capable of supporting this feature, but for some reason Samsung seems to have blotted it out.
