ZTE Axon 7 gets support for Night Mode, 256GB microSD cards and various bug fixes with update (B25)

The ZTE Axon 7 (A2017U) is getting a major update today after the Android 7.0 Nougat release which rolled out for the smartphone last month. The update brings a couple of latest android features and fixes several bugs that came with the initial android 7.0 Nougat release for the smartphone.

The latest update for ZTE Axon 7 comes with firmware build B25, and will begin rolling out in the next 24 hours. Below is the full official changelog for the update:

  • Enables “Night Mode” setting
  • Supports 256GB microSD cards
  • Allows users to disable some stock apps
  • Optimizes the “Do Not Disturb” function
  • Fixes various Wi-Fi Calling issues
  • Improves device stability and security
  • Miscellaneous performance improvements and other fixes

The update brings the much awaited Night Mode feature to the Axon 7, and also adds support for 256GB microSD cards. The official release note mentions improved stability and security for the device, which probably means the April security patch is in tow as well.

ZTE has specifically focused this update based on the user feedback from the initial launch of Nougat for ZTE Axon 7. Hence, hopefully, this resolves all of the issues Axon 7 users have been facing since installing the Android 7.0 update onto their devices.
